🕊️ When the Struggle Is Real, So Is God

Based on the Cornerstone Sermon: Watch Here

Mental health isn’t just a trending topic—it’s personal. Most of us either know someone who’s struggling or we’ve wrestled silently ourselves. The hardest part? Sometimes even as believers, we don’t know where to turn. But here’s what I want you to know:

Even those who live and breathe for the Lord sometimes need help. And that’s okay.

In this week’s powerful message at Cornerstone, Pastor Lynn reminded us that it’s not about pretending everything is fine. It’s about finding the right support—because our struggles don’t all come from the same source.

💡 “Right Problem, Right Box”

The world often tries to oversimplify mental health into only two categories:

🧠 It’s all in your head

💊 It’s all physical

But the truth is far more layered. There are struggles that are spiritual, emotional, circumstantial—even due to missing life skills. If you or someone you love is hurting right now, I encourage you to watch this message. Pastor Lynn breaks it down beautifully so that you can begin identifying the real root of the struggle:

🌊 “Walk Through the Valley…”

One part that hit me deeply was when Pastor Lynn talked about being fired from a church where he stayed faithfully—only to later realize that what caused the anxiety was the very thing that set him up for a bigger, more purposeful season.

Sometimes we don’t recognize we’re on the right path until it knocks us upside the head.

God doesn’t promise the journey will be easy. But He promises He’ll be with us through it. Every step. Even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when the prayers aren’t answered the way we’d like.

“This box isn’t a genie,” Pastor Lynn said. “It requires that you walk with God through the valley so He can lead you to the mountain.”

🔥 Do Not Live by Stinkin’ Thinkin’

This is where it all came together for me. Romans 12:1 reminds us that in view of God’s mercy, we should live differently. We don’t conform to the world’s broken patterns. We renew our minds in truth.

Because the truth?

💡 You are more valuable than gold.

💡 You are royalty—created with a purpose.

💡 You are covered by a God who shields, protects, and restores.

One of my favorite lines from the message:

“If you believe a lie, you’ll live a lie.”

And that invisible shark story? Spot on. Sometimes we’re afraid to step forward because of something someone said or something we believed—but that fear doesn’t come from truth. It comes from stinkin’ thinkin’.

👕  Product Sneak Peek

I’m currently designing a new product tied to this message:

“Do not live by stinkin’ thinkin’. Live your purposeful life.”

☀️ It’s meant to be a reminder that your past, your doubts, or anyone else’s opinions don’t get the final say.

✨ Final Thoughts

If you’re in the thick of it right now—emotionally drained, spiritually weary, or just lost—I want you to know this:

You are not weak for needing help.

You are not broken beyond repair.

You are not alone.

You are seen. You are valued. And you were created on purpose, for purpose.

Let this be the week you take one step closer to truth.
